Unit 1 Discussion Board

Hello All,
   My name is Ross Foultz.
        I hope to expand on my knowledge of device security and learn about new topics and devices in computer science.
        I have always found that understanding, fixing, and programming computers comes very easy to me. It all seems to just make since. I learned this at an early age. I began studying computers before there were resources to do so, this means I read a lot of DOS manuals and what is know today as OS manuals. This was the only way to learn when I began studding computers.
       I began my Doctoral studies in 2011. I could never narrow down my research in computer science because I love it all. I want to learn everything about computers. These days that is impossible. I took some time off from my Doctoral studies and tried to narrow down something a focus for research for a Dissertation. I believe I have narrowed it down to App Security. I hope this is a narrow enough topic to begin my dissertation research with. I chose this study because I think it incorporates computer/ device hardware, networking, and user protection. I believe with this study I will be able to use all of my experience, education, and apply research to write a dissertation that I may be able to expand on and continue to research and publish on in the future, after school.
       Apps are becoming the way we use computers, we must know how to protect our selves when using and creating these apps.
